Next month I will email this via facebook.

Michaela wants
Rapunzel's tower, the polly pocket sized one, not the million dollar excessive size one
A press dough kit
https://www.buypressdoughtoys.com/?mid=844373
Hot wheels serpant tower
The little people pink airplane
size 4 clothes
Barbie Fairy secret Dvd and/or doll
zhu zhu pets enchanted caste
Color wonders kits
hello kitty purse
little kid nail polish
hair clips
pawggles
https://www.pawggles.com/?MID=1179354
A unicorn pillow pet
I think that is more than enough.  Those are just the things she has named this year, she would be happy with pretty much anything age appropriate :)

Correction

They suspect Joe has torn tendons, not ligaments.

I went to the doc and found out I have scoliosis that can be taken care of with physical therapy.
The kids love playing in the rain.  Please enjoy a few videos.

Surgery for Joe

Hi.

I just wanted to let everybody know that Joe has surgery scheduled for his shoulder on September 20th.  He has a torn ligament or two.  He will need to be in a sling for at least a month, possibly longer.  He will be out of work for two weeks and will not be able to do much for a while, but the pain should be gone, so it will be worth it.  Please send good wishes.  Love you and miss you all.

Hello World

I am taking a short break from my studies to thank you all for the wonderful gifts for Morgan's birthday and the gifts and cards sent for Easter for the girls.  Photos are up at photobucket.com/fischer.  The girls really loved their easter baskets. You may find this hard to beleive, but I let them have candy before breakfast.  They thought that was great too!   I will not get thank you notes out, as I have carpal tunnel in my left hand and tennis elbow in my right, I have major tests this week and finals next week.  Mom and John came to see us for Morgan's birthday, and the day they left Casey came to visit for a week.  Those visits were awesome!  We have been so busy!  The girls are doing very well at school and the staff is very, very impressed with them, and often take the time to tell us how amazing our children are!  We know!
Joe earned a medal for work he did in Korea!  It is so nice to be recognized, especially in his line of work.
Morgan has her 2 year checkup Monday.  I will post after that!  I am sorry for the break in communication!  Thank you all again for the gifts!!  We love you and miss you!

Morgan's Birhtday

Here are some ideas!

She is wearing 2t-3t clothing and size 8 shoes.
She likes
Batman
Dora and Diego
Yo Gaba Gaba
Thomas the Tank
Flowers and butterflies(on her clothing and to decorate her room)
She likes books and she is still into lift a flap books and ones that make noise.
She loves bubbles and play dough
When shopping for toys, please follow the age requirements closely.  She still takes toys apart and shoves them in orifices.
Please do not go crazy with the toys, we regularly evaluate the excessive toy collection and sell and donate as needed.
If you are sending money, you may specify if you want us to take her shopping, or put it in her UTMA gift account, if you would like.
A travel magna doodle is a great idea.
That is all I can think of.
Call, text, or email with any questions.

Michaela's Visit, June, and Morgan Potty Training

We will be in Ohio from June 24th to July 2nd.  Kelsey's party is on the 25th.

Michaela's visit went well.  Driving with the girls for hours is never fun, but I am glad we went.  Michaela does not have any developmental disorders.  She does have sensory processing disorder(which we all know), but she also has some quirks that do not fall under any clinical diagnosis.  The doctor thinks she may have some anxiety, but will not put a psychiatric diagnosis like that on her at such a young age.  He wants an IQ test done ASAP.  He thinks she is probably above average and this could be causing some quirkiness.  He warned it could present as ADHD in the future.  It is my opinion, that in our school systems, a very high IQ itself could be a learning disability, or mistaken for one,  if it is unrecognized.   He could see that her physical therapy has brought her up to speed and wanted to add "social training" to her occupational therapy, since she does not enjoy interacting with children.

Morgan is not exactly potty training, but she does use the potty almost every day once a day.   It is exciting that she is interested, but I do not feel like she is quite ready to go all the time.  We will take what we can get and not push it.  Such a big girl!  I cannot believe how time flies when you have little kids!

Busy Month

Feb was the busiest month!
School is still going great.  I am getting a B in one class, but I can pick that up, no problem.  Last week, Thursday, Joe had a sit down lunch with his commander and then his MRI for his shoulder.  I had a lab exam at noon, and Morgan had the stomach flu.  It was bad.  I freaked out because I was going to miss an exam and I had a very sick little girl, two very sick little girls, actually, but it was Morgan's turn to be all yuck.  I emailed my instructor and asked  to take the test at 6:30pm that night.  He replied that he was glad I was able to make it up and that he was sure I would bring the class average up.  That is how school is going.
The girls are better.  The flu has left our house.  Michaela is recovering from a UTI and a staph infection.  Poor girl.
Michaela is learning letters and shapes.  Morgan is learning that tantrums are ineffective.  They both seem to be doing well in school.  No major issues that I have heard of.
Michaela has an appointment in Georgia, on Wednesday with a developmental specialist to assess the progress made in her therapy.  I think 4 hours is excessive to drive to be pleased to hear that she is developing fine and that the therapy is more than worth our time, buuut we will be reimbursed for our travel, so what the hey.
We have been busy putting a French drain in our backyard, in order to fix our standing water problem.  Pics to come very soon.  Joe and I (mostly Joe) moved 5 tons (10,000lbs)  of gravel with one shovel and one wheelbarrow this past weekend.  My back hurts.  I must have moved 2 tons myself.  It has also been 80 degrees here every day, which is only a blessing if you are not moving 5 tons of gravel into 100 cubic feet of trench containing standing water and yuck.  The job is 3/4 of the way done and we need another ton of gravel.  I never appreciated the cost of landscaping material before owning a home.  Ouch all around on this project, but I am glad we are getting it taken care of.
I will work on getting pics from my ipod to our computer tonight, so hopefully I can post on photobucket, fb, or on this blog.   We miss everyone very much.  I had a talk with the girls today about when we would see everyone and why we do not see everyone so often anymore.  Michaela was asking again why Lucas had not come over, so I explained everything again.  By the time I told her everyone we would see in June, she was smiling, but I was very sad.

Next Week Suzie, I Promise

Suzie is in my face asking for a walk, but it is not going to work out for her this week.  I am doing nothing but studying for my nursing program entrance exam.  It is on Friday.  It is very important to do very well on this test.  The better I do, the better my chances of getting into the program.  Hundreds of qualified applicants are turned down every year and they do not have a waiting list.  It is important that I get into the program.  Now, I study.  I have had a test in all my classes and it is looking like a 4.0 semester, so far.
Morgan likes her new school so far.  She had a great first day and took a nap there!!  Wow!!  The teachers all said she is very happy and sweet.  Of course.
Michaela is adjusting to not having Morgan there just fine so far.  Morgan was a little stressed about Daddy taking her to school instead of Mommy, but I think she will be just fine.
The girls finished a round of antibiotics for ear infections this week and are feeling fine.
I am going to the doctor today for a cough that will not go away.  I am going to start racing again in April or May.  I have not run since my birthday.  Not even training runs.  As soon as I can breathe, I will start running again.

Joe has been going to physical therapy for a month and a half for shoulder pain.  It is not getting much better, so they scheduled an MRI at the end of the month.

I have been trying to take some video of the girls doing every day things, so you can get an idea of what they are up to lately.  I will post those...after Friday, I should have at least a bit of free time.

Happy MLK Day

Today we are going to a car museum in Tallahassee.  It should be a great rainy day activity.
I finally have Christmas and New years Pics on Photobucket.

Suzie is feeling much better.  We got her a sweater to wear because her hair is very very short and she gets very cold in our house when its about 68 degrees.  LOL!  Pics of the sweater coming soon.  I started taking her to training classes at Petsmart.  She is a very good dog, but she has trouble listening with distractions, so we want to get some practice.

Micahela went to an evaluation with an Occupational therapist and a Physical therapist.  Great news, she will need little to no physical therapy because her gross motor skills are right where they should be.  Her fine motor skills were always very good.  Now we just need to work on being able to brush her hair and trim her nails and get her dressed.  Michaela scratched her neck in a fit on Thursday trying to get a sweater off.  She knows how to remove her clothes, but having a sweater on gave her such anxiety that she lost it.  Behavior wise, Joe and I are working with our very own Super Nanny.  Well, the one on base who is pretty good anyhow and is going to help us to come up with a good discipline plan for both of the girls.  Hooray for both parents being on the same page and being consistent!!
Morgan is Morgan.  She likes school.  She likes everything.  She is big, getting bigger every day.  Talking a little more every week.  She knows her colors and she is interested in counting, although she usually skips a number, or two.

The girls are adjusting to school.  Michaela insist that the other kids "freak her out", but she is crying a lot less when I drop her off in the mornings.
School is going great for me so far.  We will see after I have a few tests, but I feel very confident right now, and I love school, so much.  At this point, I am only learning about things I am interested in, so it is great.

We have been working on the house slowly.  We ordered windows for the house. We got a great deal.  December is the best month to order windows, it seems.   I am excited and nervous.  I cannot wait to have new windows, but I am nervous about a big expense, of course.  Someone is coming to measure our windows right now and we should have them in about 3 weeks!
Joe is planning to make the master bath our next DIY project.  I cannot wait.
We are all very excited about Grandma, Mom, Rachael and Lucas coming to visit!!
I just need to mention, there is a hotel down the street that advertises $199 for one week, so if anyone wants to come visit for a week or two or three...
You all know you are welcome to come sleep on our air mattress, or couch.  Its so nice down here.  Please come visit!!!  We miss you!!

First Week of School Down

I am excited to be in school.  My classes and professors are good.  The largest problem I have is dropping the girls off at "school".  They scream and cry and flail and carry on until a few minutes after I leave.  Michaela will completely undress in the morning as I am trying to get shoes on to try and keep us from going.  It's rough.  Once they are there, they have a good time and when we left yesterday, Michaela gave one of her teachers a big hug and kiss.  They are getting their pics professionally done at school on Thursday.  I will mail those out when they come in.  Speaking of pictures, I am sorry I do not even have pics up from Christmas.  I will get that done this weekend.  I have pictures from the aquarium I want to get up as well.  Some are on Joe's camera and I want to get them all up at once.  We had a good time on our trip and Suzie had a very good time at her "hotel" while we were away.  That facility is very nice.  I will probably send the cats there when we come to Ohio in June.
Today Morgan is getting a hair cut.  She had her bangs cut at the barber shop on base cut before Christmas, but I did not mention it because it looks kind of silly, so I am taking her to a beauty shop to hopefully have it fixed and I will take some pics too.
That is all for now.  Love and miss you all,
